Pastor Jason came on staff at FFC in 2022 as the Serve Pastor and now serves as Lead Pastor since 2023.  He and his best friend, Shelly, were married in 1998, next to the Bass Lake shore at Ducey's, and are grateful for their two sons.  Jason has a BA in Christian Ministry from Northwest Nazarene University, and an AS in Public Fire Service from Rancho Santiago Community College.  Before coming to Fresno First, Jason spent 5 years as a Lead Pastor in Clovis, CA, and has also served as Executive Pastor and Compassionate Ministries Director in Tehachapi, CA.  Jason has served at camps, led short term missions trips, has planted a church, and spoken at leadership conferences.  His passion is to invest in our community and to share the tangible love of Christ to everyone by developing authentic relationships.  Jason enjoys teaching God's Word, and living it out within the community in creative ways to reach those that need Christ most.  Prior to ministry, Jason served as a firefighter at the City of Vernon, CA, located in the Southern California Basin, for over 2 decades. Jason is also a motorcycle enthusiast and enjoys riding his motorcycle daily.
